Is My Chrysler a Lemon

The first step in the Chrysler Lemon Law process would be to assess whether or not you actually have a lemon vehicle on your hands. As a consumer, you need to make sure you are aware of the basic criterion of any Chrysler Lemon Law case and buyback program. First, the vehicle must still be under warranty. This is true for purchased, leased, new or old cars. Next, does the issue reduce the value of the vehicle or pose a risk to occupants or other drivers on the road? Your Chrysler Lemon Law case has to fit one of those parameters. Lastly, it’s essential that you have already given the manufacturer a fair number of attempts to repair the mechanical issue before diving further into the Chrysler Lemon law process.

Common Chrysler Lemon Law Defects

Chrysler is owned by Stellantis North America and sells vehicles under the Dodge, Jeep, and Ram brands. It is considered one of the “big three” manufacturers along with General Motors and Ford Motor Company. It also owns Fiat and is known as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

These vehicles in 2016 had low reliability scores: Jeep Renegade, Ram 2500, and Chrysler 200.

The Chrysler 200 is no longer in production in 2021. The 2021 Renegade received a not so great 37 from Consumer Reports, just above the Fiat 500x which was 37.

Chrysler killed off the Chrysler 300 SRT8 in Australia back in January 2021. That model was removed from the lineup back in 2015 in the US. This was one of the more popular cars due to the engine. However, it had some difficulties overcoming the competition.

That’s mostly the story here: Chrysler doesn’t necessarily make bad cars, other manufacturers make better cars. For instance, scores given to the 2021 options aren’t bad.

But if a company as large as Chrysler stops offering exceptional cars the market wants, there isn’t much else to do. However, Chrysler and Fiat could come back strong if the company digs into what drivers really want from their car.

My vehicle is having hard downshifting issues. Mainly from 2 to 1 and occasionally from 3 to 2. I notice there isn’t a recall listed but it definitely seems like a serious issue. That could possibly cause damage later on. I’ve read online that it seems to be a pretty common issue with the Silverado 2014-2019. I would like an explanation and fix please. Chevrolet has checked and said it doesn’t read as an issue on computer reading. Thanks. https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls
