An Maryland owner of a 2019 Chevy Cruze reports on NHTSA

I purchased this (2019 Chevy Cruze) vehicle in 2019 About 2 and half years now. This car engine is malfunctioning. When i am driving uphill the speed is not transitioning and it had caused other vehicles behind me to slow down. Second major problem is during the summer season the speed does not adjust easily . I would have to press on the gas so hardly to be able to proceed. The worst of all is when am at a traffic light and it turns green that I must proceed the car will not move. I get stuck for a short period and then i would pressed on the gas and all of a sudden you will hear a heavy noise.

Why a 2019 Chevy Cruze Engine Can Stall

According to the online site Repair Pal, “The most common reasons for a Cruze engine stalling are related to the fuel system, the air intake system, or the ignition system.

  1. Faulty Chevy Cruze Oxygen Sensor.  Cruze owners have reported stalling due to a faulty oxygen sensor.  The symptoms of a faulty oxygen sensor include decreased fuel economy, hesitation or misfiring from the engine, rough idling or even stalling.
  2. Defective Mass Airflow Sensor. In addition to a faulty Oxygen sensor, a 2019 Chevy Cruze can stall due to a defective Mass Airflow Sensor.  An erroneous signal from the MAF sensor results in a few things. Check engine light will illuminate, and trouble codes will appear in the on-board diagnostics (OBD). It is possible for the engine to stall depending on the amount of air reported by the air sensor.
